The New Romney Allotment Association is a voluntary, non-profit making organisation. They aim to help people enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the allotment whilst nurturing and tending their fruit and vegetables. If you enjoy gardening and the life outdoors then the idea of managing an allotment plot may appeal to you
The allotment site is situated in Church Lane, New Romney and is managed by New Romney Town Council.

New Romney Allotments
Founded in 2017, New Romney Am Dram (NRad) has been formed to give the residents of New Romney and the surrounding areas a chance to perform in Pantomimes, Cabarets, Plays and Musicals. NRad is a very friendly group, which prides itself on its openness, inclusivity and professionalism. Members aged 16-80 ensure that the group has an active and varied social life which includes fundraising events and social get-togethers!
We are very proud to have formed a partnership with The Marsh Academy where we hope to perform all our productions. This has a purpose-built theatre with 247 seats and disabled access and we are very excited to be able to use such a professional venue.
NRad always welcomes new members of any ability. There is no audition to join the group and members are encouraged to get involved in any capacity, whether on stage, behind the scenes with costumes, scenery building, crew, publicity, promotion or front of house. All we ask is a small joining fee of £20 to cover insurance and admin. We also charge a small show fee for cast members.

The New Romney Bowls Club is located in Sussex Road in New Romney. Facilities include two greens, clubhouse with bar, lounge and dining area.
Our outdoor bowling season opens in April and closes in September. The Club can be involved in playing 160 matches (fixtures) on their two bowling greens in this period. Visiting teams provide much of the competition and return year after year for their annual matches. The Club's overall policy is to provide bowling and social facilities all year round.
The two bowling greens which can accommodate up to 14 rinks (112 players) with changing rooms for home and visitors as well as mens and ladies. There is an indoor short-mat bowls area for winter period. The attractive bar has spacious seating with dining for refreshments/meals as required for visitors and club events. Also available are snooker, darts, quizzes and bingo sessions throughout the year as part of our social calendar.

The New Romney Bowls Club recognises that only by practical experience can new members decide if the actual game of bowls is suitable for them and the Club's requirements for "beginners". On joining the Club, new members wishing to bowl will be given the instruction and practice necessary to make this decision. In the event that the actual out-door game is not appropriate for an individual, the social aspect and other activities would welcome their support and interest.

The Romney Marsh Community Hub is an independent charity dedicated to supporting and improving the health and wellbeing for people 50+ in our local community.
The centre is located in New Romney in Rolfe Lane and is open 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday (closed on Bank Holidays).

The centre offers relaxed social contact in a safe, friendly and informal environment. There's the chance to have a good old natter and catch up with the latest news or, there's an attractive choice of recreational and leisure activities from which to choose, or not to, as the case may be.
There is a wide range of activities, including seated exercise classes, cooking group, gardening group, craft activities, art group, group table games, poetry group, outings, talks from guest speakers and more.
The centre does all it can to tailor their services to meet individual needs and wishes. The New Romney History Society are a group of local people who are interested and enthusiastic about the history of New Romney and its local area. They meet monthly for lively discussions and are often joined by visiting speakers. During some meetings they examine local historical records and documents eg church registers of marriages, baptisms etc, old school documents.
The Society meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 7.30p in the Old School, New Romney. New members are welcome; please contact Gaynor

The Marsh Academy Leisure Centre, located in Station Road, New Romney, offers sport, fitness and leisure facilities to all. They are open to the public seven days a week and their friendly, qualified, members of staff are always on hand to help you make the most of your time there.

Newley re-furbished Fitness Suite
The Romney Marsh Divine Spiritual Group was founded in the Summer of 2013, launched in November 2013 with an even attended by nearly 200 'An evening of clairvoyance with Reverend Colin Fry TV's International Celebrity Medium'. The first service took place on Saturday 11 January 2014 led by Christian Priest Fr Frichard Barns, with Ashford (Kent) Spiritual Church leader and Medium Phil Towler.
The services are held every two weeks in The New Romney Assembly in Church Approach, New Romney from 7pm. Healing and refreshments are free with donations appreciated.

Romney Marsh Model Engineering Society
The Romney Marsh Model Engineering Society caters for all modeling interests with a special emphasis on live steam. It has a membership of around 240 and is affiliated to the "Southern Federation of Model Engineering Societies".
The permanent raised track at Rolfe Lane has facilities for 2½", 3½" and 5" gauge locomotives and both coal-fired and electric models are seen regularly at meetings. The garden railway has six tracks and caters for electric, battery, clockwork and live-steam models (gas, meths and coal-fired) for both Gauge One (Standard & 'G' scale) and 'O' gauge, especially narrow-gauge.

Other interests within the Society are model railways from 'N' gauge upwards, radio-controlled model aircraft and boats, model traction engines, road vehicles and clocks.
General meetings are held weekly from November to March in the Clubhouse at Rolfe Lane, New Romney and these comprise lectures, slide and film shows, demonstrations and social get-togethers etc. Between April and October, track meetings are held weekly at Rolfe Lane together with visits to other miniature railways and places of interest to members.
New members are always very welcome - the current subscription is only £16 per year. Visitors are welcome at all our meetings.

Romney Marsh Morris are a traditional Cotswold Morris side based in New Romney and dancing across the famous Romney Marshes and throughout Kent, South East London, and northern Europe.
Formed in 2016 they practice on a Sunday morning in New Romney and dance out Sunday lunchtimes throughout the summer at pubs, events, festivals etc. They have a men's side and a ladies side, with male and female musicians and members. You can be a member of the side by dancing, singing, playing an instrument, or simply following and supporting the side. The side currently has over 30 members and they are looking for a maximum of 100 members. As they progress they are hoping to work with schools, scouts etc to form a junior side.
They meet every Sunday morning at 10am in the Assembly Rooms in New Romney.

Romney Marsh Morris
New Romney in Bloom (NRIB) Community Group was formed to help make the town of New Romney a brighter, more attractive and welcoming place all year round, with floral colour and displays in flower beds, baskets and planters for the benefit and enjoyment of all who live, work and visit here.
Whilst the Covid pandemic has no doubt slowed NRIB progress, nonetheless, it did not give up and is now making some good headway as demonstrated by the formation and planting of several new bed displays and the clearing of other areas ready for planting and more are planned
NRIB has a very small committee and is therefore reliant on Volunteers who are like-minded, keen to help make this a success, want to make a difference to their community by giving an hour or two here and there. We know from passers-by talking to some of our volunteers that they are so pleased to see their community being brightened up. All are welcome, to volunteer, any age or ability. Horticultural experience is not essential, just a willingness to become involved and see the reward of their efforts.
Our friendly group are affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and are determined to make a difference to the street scene in and around New Romney.
Please do come and join us and as we keep saying, help make a difference to our Ancient Cinque Port town with all its traditions.

Do you want to try something new, learn new skills and meet a whole new group of friends? 1st New Romney Scout Group is based at our HQ in Church Lane, New Romney. We have 4 sections for boys and girls: Beavers (6 to 8 years), Cubs (8 to 10 ½ years), Scouts (10 ½ to 14 years) and Explorers (14 to 18 years).
1st New Romney is a very active Scouting unit – established in 1910 the group has been offering fun and adventure to countless generations of young people and the young at heart adults who support them. Scouting teaches young people in a fun and inclusive environment to do more, learn more and be more – developing skills for life. New Romney Group’s activities are wide and varied - both indoors and outdoors. From working towards badges and awards, hiking, kayaking, cooking, first aid, crafting, tobogganing, camping, and group activities – there’s lots going on!

New Romney Youth Football Club
New Romney Youth Football Club are a local Youth Football Club providing football for all young people on the Romney Marsh. They play there home games at the sports ground is in Station Road, New Romney TN28 8LQ.
There are currently 3 Senior Teams and 6 Youth Teams at the Club, ranging from U6s to U14s, signed up to leagues in Ashford and East Kent and the club are looking to expand this to includeevery age group from 4 and above. They welcome enquiries from any budding young footballers, Managers & Coaches or anyone who is interested in joining the club to promote Youth Football on the Marsh.
